I walked the Huella Alemana tour with Diego where he offered to do the tour in English. His knowledge about the topic was impressive, it is evident that he has studied the topic with much personal interest and so the tour is has a very authentic feel. The Huella Alemana is an incredibly complex topic in Bariloche and Diego did very well in conveying the information in a basic yet interesting manner that fascinated the group.
He was very open to providing more information on where to learn more about the topic and also gave a list of his sources of information, something I have never experienced in Argentina, this provided much credibility to the tour especially regarding how much propaganda, sensationalism and opinion is passed as truth regarding such a sensitive topic.
Additionally, the tour was just under an hour with not too much walking involved. We cannot rate these tours higher!
We did both tours and Diego and Hans were both wonderful! Very informative, knowledgeable and interesting. We got an overview of the history of Bariloche and learnt specifically about the different waves of German immigration and their influence on the city. We would definitely recommend these tours and they are great value for money. Plus both Diego and Hans spoke excellent English so we had no problems understanding anything. This was the first tour we've done on our trip and we are so glad we started it this way.
Very nice people on the tours with us too. Thank you so much for a great day! Own or manage this property?
