This book was much more then I originally thought. The first few chapters I thought it was a cute book. Then I became enthralled with the story and it was so much better then I expected.

Iron & Wine by Candace Osmond on Apple Books

You will not be disappointed with this series! Got hooked on the first page and could barely put it down! I'm off to start 2: One person found this helpful. This book has everything a person who loves fairies, vamps, weres, sprites, trolls, selkies and all the rest, could ever hope for. Who wouldn't want to live among the folk we read about?

Seems like it might be fun, at least for a little while, right? Ok, maybe not, but still Avery is a happy, if defensive, kind of person, who leaves her perfect home and her perfect aunt to go to the perfect college with her perfect friend. Her friend has found the perfect place for them to live Avery's friend meets the perfect guy, and Avery and her friend get the perfect jobs.

Reward Yourself

Sounds a bit perfect and it it but things start to happen and the fey and vamps enter Avery's perfect life. They fey, for the most part, and the vamps, are perfect as well. Okay, even though everything is perfect, the book is still interesting and fun. The details of Avery's relationship with her sprite friend are sweet and the bad fairy is very bad indeed. Avery gets a lot of help throughout and is grateful, while hoping that help is always available The characters are likable and it's a quick read especially if you like the beings held within the pages Truth is I read 50 to 60 books a year, most of them novels and I must say many of them 'guy books.

It isn't really but did I enjoy it.

Osmond has created a magical world that will spirit you away with it's delightful, well developed characters and intriguing plot. Between the adorably average Avery, her brooding, angry classmate Max, her eclectic employer, a mysterious and romantic male, her sweet but mysterious aunt and all the other fun characters I really couldn't put it down! I loved the world in this book.
