Because I have sisters, I read this with a degree of understanding. Goudge is amazing in her ability to sustain the loving relationship while building her case for the less than loving relationship. I am in awe of her ability to get into the minds and hearts of these women, establish motive, carry out their lives to the inevitable conclusion. While I do not like to think that sisters treat sisters in this manner, I applaud this author for exploring it for her readers. I am gifting this book to each of my sisters.
I enjoy books by this author, tho this one was rather slow reading at times. However this might be others option at all. One person found this helpful.
